ABOUT THE PRODUCT

The new analog modeling technology of AMT Electronics is based on the use of micro triodes — scaled down copies of the electrical characteristics of real vacuum devices.

The direct heir of the third generation of emulation technologies implementations became inheritor of the AMT StoneHead-50 — full rack 4-channel amplifier SH-100R. 

This amplifier is a concentration of the latest developments of the AMT Electronics in the field of solid-state emulation of processes occurring in the tube stages. 

Playing through this amp you can feel absolutely the same «tube» kickback and feedback which is still slightly lacking in previous approaches to emulation. You can feel the melodiousness of sharp attacks' handling, and catch yourself thinking that you want to overload these stages again and again to enjoy the richness and precision of the resulting sound.

The AMT SH-100R is a 100W, 4-h channel guitar amplifier, created in the 1-rack case and designed for usage in studio and during concerts.

► FEATURES

  • Since 2024 there is completely new firmware installed on board of the SH100 allows you to use maximum from the MIDI functionality including full preset' settings control.
  • Preamp section consists of four completely separate channels.
  • Each amplifier channel has a separate equalizer, controls for sensitivity and output level.
  • The amplifier has an effect loop with the possibility to turn it off.
  • It is possible to work with specialized guitar cabinets (8 Ohm, 16 Ohm plugs), and directly with the mixing board or linear amplifier (through OUT CAB. S. outlet). There is a balanced XLR output and a separate headphone output.
  • Power amplifier allows you to work on load of 8 or 16 Ohm. In both cases output power will be 100 W.
  • Powering on the amplifier without a load does not lead to amplifier's failure — unlike with tube amps.
  • 2W, 20W or 100W working modes for the power amp.
  • Channel 1 is focused on the classic clean sound, with graceful light overloading at maximum sensitivity and crystal clarity and brightness at moderate sensitivity values. The channel has a standard tone stack (treble, middle, bass) and gain control. As an addition, Channel 1 has a knob «VOICING» and a switch
    «T.Shift» that expand the range of tone regulation.
  • Channel 2, unlike Channel 1, produces a much higher overall gain. The channel has classic regulators – sensitivity, level and three tone controls. It has a switch for two modes, which differ in the general level of sensitivity, and the final tone. LOW mode allows rounded sound, perfectly suitable for many mild styles. HIGH mode has a bright «mod» sound.
  • Channel 3 is the most versatile. In view of the available HIGH/LOW gain switch and the additional VOICING control, that extends the overload range from classic British crunch to modern heavy «American» saturated gain.
  • Channel 4 has the most aggressive sound. The channel features a spectral and timbre balance, which allows you to get Screaming Artificial Pinch Harmonics and produces brilliant readability with fast passages. Two modes of the channel allow you to choose a more «FAT» or a more «DRY» sound.
  • Power amp section has two switchable volume controls «MASTER VOLUME» and also two additional controls «PRESENCE» and «RESONANCE».

 IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE POWER SUPPLY 

For powering the AMT devices always use specialized power supplies originally designed for guitar pedals & gear meeting the following basic requirements:

Please, don't try to use for these purposes the usual cheapest power supply from household appliances and electronics, like from your laptop, Wi-Fi router, etc.! Such power supplies have a reverse polarity compared to AMT devices, so it won't work! Even if you're «the guy was born with a soldering iron in the hand» and almost ready to change a polarity of such power supply — we strongly not recommend you do that!

Those kinds of power supplies are not intended for using with the guitar gear. Otherwise, you'll get a problematic very noisy guitar sound full of «hum», «cheep», and other sound «effects»!
