ABOUT THE PRODUCT
The AMT CP-16M — is a built-in digital audio processing module with preinstalled software. It is designed especially for those who create all sorts of guitar devices: power amplifiers, preamplifiers, guitar effects etc.
IMPORTANT NOTE! To apply the module, the user must have some basic knowledge in the field of electronics and possess some computer literacy. More detailed technical information on the module AMT Pangaea CP-16M you'll find on the product's page at the AMT Media Center: https://media.amtelectronics.com/amt-pangaea-cp-16-module/
► FEATURES
- AMT Pangaea CP-16M module lets you emulate any Guitar Cabinet sounding by loading appropriate Guitar Cabinets’ Impulse Responses (IRs). A great amount of different IRs you can easily find on the Internet (both paid and free).
- You can load up to 16 different Guitar Cabinets’ IRs in the module’s memory and choose the desired one at the right moment.
- You can load IRs in the CP-16M memory and control their parameters via USB or Bluetooth* interfaces.
- The CP-16M module is so small that it can be integrated easily into any compact device – such as «newfangled» mini effect pedals.
- There are Windows / macOS / Linux / Android / iOS Applications developed by AMT for controls all possible settings of the AMT Pangaea device via USB and Bluetooth* as well. This App allows converting WAV IR's files to the Pangaea's required format «on the fly» (by «drag & drop» method).
* Provided that the Bluetooth module AMT BLE-1 (additional option) is installed on board of the CP-16M.
► STRUCTURE & EFFECTS OF THE CP-16M
The user’s interface of the module is structured as 4 banks of 4 presets (16 presets in total). A separate impulse response of a guitar cabinet can be loaded into each preset. The module's software allows you to implement effects and functions:
- [NG] — Noise Gate;
- [CM] — Compressor;
- [PR] — Preamp (clean channel);
-
[PA] — Power Amp — emulates the sound of one of 15 tube guitar power amplifiers:
- 01. PP 6L6 — Typical Push-Pull Power Amplifier w/ 6L6 Tubes
- 02. PP EL34 — Typical Push-Pull Power Amplifier w/ EL34 Tubes
- 03. SE 6L6 — Typical Single-Ended Power Amplifier w/ 6L6 Tubes
- 04. SE EL34 — Typical Single-Ended Power Amplifier w/ EL34 Tubes
- 05. AMT TC-3 — Based on AMT Electronics® TubeCake TC-3®
- 06. CALIF (California) — Based on Mesa/Boogie® Dual Rectifier®
- 07. BRIT M (British M) — Based on Marshall® JCM-800®
- 08. BRIT L (British L) — Based on Laney® LC50 II 112 Combo®
- 09. DEFAULT — (Linear Frequency Response)
- 10. CALIF MOD —Based on Mesa/Boogie®
- 11. CALIF VINT — Based on Mesa/Boogie®
- 12. PVH 01 — Based on Peavey 6505® (with settings: Presence=0, Resonance=0)
- 13. PVH 02 — Based on Peavey 6505® (with settings: Presence=5, Resonance=5)
- 14. PVH 03 — Based on Peavey 6505® (with settings: Presence=8, Resonance=7)
-
15. PVH 04 — Based on Peavey 6505® (with settings: Presence=9, Resonance=8)
- [IR] — Impulse Response;
- [EQ1 + LPF&HPF] — Equalizer 1 (the first 5-band parametric equalizer in the chain with a full-fledged graphical implementation of LPF and HPF filters);
- [EQ2 + LPF&HPF] — Equalizer 2 (an additional 5-band parametric equalizer in the circuit with a full-fledged graphical implementation of LPF and HPF filters);
- [TR] — Tremolo;
- [CH] — Chorus;
- [PH] — Phaser;
- [DL] — Delay;
- [ER] — Early Reflections (mono / stereo modes);
- [PV] — Preset volume.
All these functions are configured and executed for each preset separately.
NOTE! The Application (both Mobile & Desktop) gives the ability to drag existing effect blocks to any place in the guitar signal formation chain.

💡 FOR THIS MODULE, YOU MAY NEED TO PURCHASE
Noiseless power supply is purchased separately (you can choose):
AMT DC 12V, 1.25А AC/DC |
AMT DC 18V, 0.8А AC/DC |
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE POWER SUPPLY
For powering the AMT devices always use specialized power supplies originally designed for guitar pedals & gear meeting the following basic requirements:
Please, don't try to use for these purposes the usual cheapest power supply from household appliances and electronics, like from your laptop, Wi-Fi router, etc.! Such power supplies have a reverse polarity compared to AMT devices, so it won't work! Even if you're «the guy was born with a soldering iron in the hand» and almost ready to change a polarity of such power supply — we strongly not recommend you do that!
Those kinds of power supplies are not intended for using with the guitar gear. Otherwise, you'll get a problematic very noisy guitar sound full of «hum», «cheep», and other sound «effects»!
