► ABOUT THE PRODUCT

AMT TC-3M (Tubecake 1,5-3W) version — is a guitar amplifier can work as independent one device as well as also can be installed into the pedalboard AMT UBR PB-3, which allows you to connect guitar cabinets directly to the PB-3.

It works as a perfect combination with all the AMT preamps.

While creating a lightweight and compact AMT TC-3M amplifier, AMT focused primarily on implementing the basic features of a tube amp using semiconductor component base. However, without the drawbacks such as high cost, large size and weight, and the need for periodic tube replacement (up to 2 times per year).

► FEATURES

The most prominent features, which make the sound of tube amplifiers so peculiar, have been thoroughly implemented by the engineers of the company in the AMT TC-3M.

• The output impedance of the AMT TC-3M is comparable with the load. Such an output resistance in combination with the impedance of a frequency-dependent guitar speaker shapes the «correct» guitar amplifier frequency response.
• The AMT TC-3M has a smooth transition from the linear mode to chopping with the domination of low serial number harmonics in the spectrum.
• Despite its relatively low power, the AMT TC-3M has a large dynamic range, since the chopping, like in fully powered tube amps, is not so noticeable.
• A special feature of the TC-3M is that the device can be powered by a wide voltage range, from 12 to 18 volts:
  • When the power supply is 12 volts — the device operates in the mode of a 1.5 watt amplifier;
  • When the power supply is 18 volts — the TC-3M fully reveals its potential, giving out a full 3 watts of power.

Such an amplifier can be used in cases where great volume is not necessary, but you need a specific extra load, peculiar to vacuum tube amplifier: for home practicing, guitar recording at home and playing in small clubs.

The AMT TC-3M can fulfill this task with nice sound loading and keeping it natural.

► CONTROLS

• VOLUME controls the overall DB sound level output of the amplifier.
• PRESENCE adjusts the amount of «clarity» or «attack» of the amplifier.
• DEPTH (aka «Resonance») adjusts the amount of low-frequency resonance of the amplifier.

 IMPORTANT NOTE  To mounting the AMT Tubecake TC-3M into the AMT UBR PB-3 you will need to use an extra Jack to Jack 6.35 mm (1/4 inch) adapter (not included and purchased separately).
