ABOUT THE PRODUCT
AMT Bass ZEALOT BZ-300 is a bass power amp.
This is a compact D-class audio amplifier with the output power up to 300 Watts, a switching power supply with a wide range of AC mains voltage.
The power amplifier is a good companion to the AMT Bass Preamps (AMT BC-1, AMT Bricks A-Bass, AMT Bricks O-Bass) or to the preamps of other respected producers.
The BZ-300 is designed in close touch with musicians using the best components.
Each amplifier is tested to confirm that it meets our specifications and we believe that it will meet your requirements in the best way.
► FEATURES
Using special locks, a couple of the AMT BZ-300 devices can be combined into a single 1U unit (19" rack): https://www.instagram.com/p/BvJsHZ6HlJ_/
► THE FRONT PANEL
- INPUT SENSITIVITY — an attenuator of the input signal. It is the 12 positions switch. The standard voltage values and MUTE are shown, the division price is approximately 2dB.
- INPUT SIGNAL — a dynamic LED indicator of the input signal.
- LIMITER — a LED indicator shows that the input signal has reached a limiter threshold (Approx. 10dB above the nominal level chosen with the input signal attenuator).
- Ventilation grate — it has to be open not to prevent air flow.
- POWER — a power switch.
► THE REAR PANEL
-
AC mains power socket. This is where you connect the supplied AC power cord.
WARNING! Before plugging in the power cord, make sure the voltage selector switch is set it the proper position for your local AC mains!
-
VOLTAGE SELECTOR SWITCH.
WARNING! Make sure that the switch is in a proper position for your local AC mains voltage before you plug in the AC power cord!
-
SPEAKER OUTPUTS. These are two combined Speakon / TS 1/4" output connectors to supply speaker-level power to the speaker cabinets. The rated output power is 300 Watts rms into 4 Ohm load or 150 Watts rms into 8 Ohm load. These two identical outputs are wired in parallel. You can use either one of them, or use both. You ought to be sure the total speaker impedance load is 4 Ohm or greater.
- Among other things, the AMT BZ-300 also has short circuit protection.
EXAMPLES OF POSSIBLE SWITCHING:
→ Two 16 Ohm speakers — it would be an 8 Ohm load;
→ Two 8 Ohm speakers — it would be a 4 Ohm load;
→ One 8 Ohm speaker;
→ One 4 Ohm speaker.
WARNING! You have to use speaker cables with Speakon or 1/4" TS connectors. Do not use instrumental cables as they may overheat!
-
FAN. Make sure that the fan is not obscured in any way.
-
LINK. The output XLR male connector to send a signal to other devices (other AMT BZ-300, mixer, sound card, etc.). The output signal level on this connector is the same as on the INPUT connector, the output signal is just a buffered replica of the input signal.
-
GND/LIFT. The switch connects the pin 1 of the LINK XLR connector to the amp's
common wire (GND) or lefts the pin floating. It may help to eliminate hum in some cases.
- INPUT. The combined XLR/TRS 1/4" female connector. You can use a balanced XLR cable, a balanced TRS cable or an unbalanced TS cable as a source of the input signal.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE POWER SUPPLY
For powering the AMT devices always use specialized power supplies originally designed for guitar pedals & gear meeting the following basic requirements:
Please, don't try to use for these purposes the usual cheapest power supply from household appliances and electronics, like from your laptop, Wi-Fi router, etc.! Such power supplies have a reverse polarity compared to AMT devices, so it won't work! Even if you're «the guy was born with a soldering iron in the hand» and almost ready to change a polarity of such power supply — we strongly not recommend you do that!
Those kinds of power supplies are not intended for using with the guitar gear. Otherwise, you'll get a problematic very noisy guitar sound full of «hum», «cheep», and other sound «effects»!
